At first I thought the parametric EQ with spectrum in Alloy was really cool but I've struggled to use it and draw in my own curves etc. I'm also demoing the PSP SQuad bundle of 6 EQs, these are very nice as well. Glue and Old Timer let the material breathe nicely, really excellent. I didn't realize it before using Glue and OT but I was really squashing my stuff way too much using Alloy, Major Tom, etc. I started my demo on the Old Timer last night and I'm extremely impressed, sounds fantastic. I agree, you've gotta be careful about spending real money on stuff that might be obsolete as soon as you get it.it is definitely overwhelming, especially when you get into the more modern stuff with advanced control parameters.there's definitely something to be said for simplicity and getting good sounds fast.
